Hello All,
Many have been asking about Quest and wanting more info so I thought I would give you an update and some reminders. Quest week is June 26 - July 2nd. It sounds like many of you are interested in going. This is awesome so let me also remind you that we want you to sign up by bringing $50 deposit to church to hold your spot by April 17th. If this is a problem, let me know right away.
Also, save the morning of Saturday, May 14th. We are going to have a pancake breakfast that morning as a fundraiser. Please get the word out about this. The hours will 7 to 10:30 AM. The church will be having a work day that morning so there will be a built in crowd for that but we need to push publicity in order to have a bigger crowd to help raise funds. We felt we might need to give the auction a break for a year and try something a little different. This will also give the youth more of an opportunity to work and talk with folks about going on the upcoming trip as they rub elbows with those who come to the breakfast.
Final cost for the trip will be determined after fundraising is complete but I would plan on around $200.
Just FYI - I will not be at church on Palm Sunday. We will be on vacation. Youth are to help stuff Easter Eggs during Sunday School (See Lori Cash). Also, they can unpack and set up the new TV in the youth room.
Thanks,
Pastor Dave
