Hello All,
This Sunday morning, April 26th, is another EPIC Sunday and we return to our Faith Heroes theme. These Sundays are based on the Faith Heroes given by the author of the book of Hebrews as found in Chapter 11. This Month's heroes are Moses' Parents. Dan has asked me to share the message this Sunday and I have a special presentation that I hope will be unique and meaningful for parents and youth alike. We will have Coffee Fellowship and Small Groups to follow as well. As the Revision season has come to a close we are returning to having ABY on the last Sundays of the month for April and May. This Sunday ABY will be led by special guest leaders as I will be unavailable on Sunday afternoon. Come hang at 4 PM to devote a little and play a little (hopefully outside). Next weekend is our Silent Auction for Quest. Please come at 11 AM on Saturday, May 2nd to help set up for the auction. Items will be available to be bid on Sunday morning but everyone will want to return at 4:30 for the main event. We will serve a light meal starting at 4:30 and bidding will close at 5:30. The children and some of the youth are gearing up for their sharing of "The Sailor's Bible" on May 10th. They will have practices at 9 AM on May 2nd and May 9th. Here is a list of upcoming meetings and events Sunday - April 26th: 9:30 AM - Epic Worship followed by Coffee Fellowship and Small Groups 4:00 PM - ABY Saturday - May 2nd: 9:00 AM - Sailor's Bible Rehearsal 11:00 AM - Silent Auction Set Up Sunday - May 3rd Quest down payment due 4:30 PM - Silent Auction Main Event Saturday - May 9th 7:30 AM - Pancake Breakfast for Chile Trip 9:00 AM - Church Work day 9:00 AM - Sailor's Bible Dress Rehearsal Sunday - May 10th (Happy Mother's Day) Sailor's Bible during Worship Save the Date: June 6th - Church Rummage Sale for Chile Mission Trip Wow, it's mid April already. Time is flying! My little girl (Katelynn) is turning 6 tomorrow which is another reason to say that time goes by fast and I'm feeling older. Well, enough of me complaining about getting old and allow me to give a celebratory cheer for Spring and the warm weather that comes with it. Yeah Spring!!
This is good news also because it means we can get outside for games during ABY (unless we get an April shower). Either way youth need to come to ABY this Sunday for food, fun games and meaningful devotions. See you at 4 PM. Miraculously enough we are going to have ABY for two weeks in a row so plan on being here again next Sunday at the same and same channel. May 3rd is our Silent Auction. Items will be out in the morning to bid on during worship and Sunday School but real fun doesn't happen until 4:30. We will be serving a light meal and wrapping up bidding at 5:30. Please and invite friends and loved ones to attend as this is the reason for the later finish time to hopefully incolude more folks in this great event. To Recap: April 19th - ABY 4 PM April 26th - ABY 4 PM May 3rd - Silent Auction 4:30 - 6 PM May 3rd - Quest deposits are due ($50) |
